Christian Education Classes
The following classes are Christian Education Classes:
T-Th: 9:30 to 11:30 Three-year-olds
M-W-F: 9:30 to 11:30 Four-year-olds
M-T-W-TH: 12:30 to 3:00 Five (or almost five)-year-olds
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
We see children as gifts from God, to be cherished, cared for, and taught in the light of His love. As God loves each child individually, so should we also. We acknowledge and deeply appreciate the charge we have, with you, to be part of His plan for each child. We are guided in this by the words of Jesus, found in the Bible.
Curriculum:
Every week, on the first day of the school week, we will have a theme related Bible Lesson taken from The New International Version of the Bible, using a Children’s edition. During our opening circle time we begin with a prayer song, along with few praise songs, and during snack time we have a prayer of thanksgiving. Each lesson will center on the subject or theme of the month. Any field trips and related special activities will also coincide with the theme for the month. All concepts (numbers, letters, shapes, colors, etc.) are dealt with in a creative fashion under our monthly unit theme. The monthly theme, Bible lessons, songs and activities will all be listed on the teacher’s lesson plans given to the parents at the beginning of each new week.
